Tom, a 13-year-old and member of Gorgons Carnival Club, has decided to raise £1,000 towards his cart this year. He’s looking for 100 people to sponsor one of his carnival lights for £5.
If he can fill all 100 lights, that’s £500 towards his target. His Mum says he has to do the fundraising himself, so apparently he can’t just make her pay out….!
Like all of the carnival clubs, the money needed to build the cart, make costumes and actually get them out on the road doesn’t magically appear — it’s raised throughout the year through fundraising, donations and a lot of hard work.
He is really grateful for any support you can give.
