Avon & Somerset Police have asked people to be vigilant, as there are a number of reports that people are posing as the police when calling people, warning them that their cards have been compromised.

Unfortunately, they appear to be calling from actual Somerset & Avon Police phone numbers.

If you do receive a call, you should hang up and call the police directly, to be sure.
