Things aren’t as logical as you think

Sometimes, you can come up with something that seems perfectly logical, but then somebody comes along and points out that it’s not so logical.

Glastonbury Town Council have announced that they have acquired their Christmas tree, but they have said that it is getting harder to do do so every year.

They’ve said that the size they need takes 25 years for the tree to grow.

I mentioned on Facebook that they could just have a living tree all year round, although I did mention that I’m no expert in trees.

It does seem to make sense to me though, and not just for the problem of acquiring trees of that size in the future.

Surely, it’s better not to have a dead tree every year, and just have a single tree. It would also save on the transportation and setting up of the tree before and after Christmas every year, saving a considerable amount of tax-payers money over the years.

It was pointed out, that the roots from such a tree would cause some problems.
